Harvest time on the prairies–a time of golden crops, and azure skies. The yield, so dependent on the weather, is finally calculated. Will it be a good year?
And hay bales sit in rows, waiting to be picked up and stored for the winter, to fill the needs of the livestock.
So beautiful!!!!

Looks a whole lot like a lot of Australia. Although not so much this year – a bit of a drought in many parts. Some say worst in a hundred years.

Oh dear. That’s too bad. We’ve been getting a lot of rain during harvest, so I think many farmers won’t get the crops off. Today, we’re even getting some early snow!

Her’s hoping, but with all the recent rain, and the snow hitting the prairies today, I don’t think it will be the best yielding year.

Snow?! No!!

Yes. It’s much too early for snow! Alberta got hit with a lot. All the snow that fell here melted quickly.

Those skies bring great memories, driving to the Moose Jaw airshow every year, camping in Grasslands, seeing the exercise in perspective with the straight as a pin highway and the flat terrain – mesmeric IMO! Saw a turtle derby once, Turtle Mountain (haha)? The rodeo in Morris, I believe. All that have a patina of age to them now!
