I thank Artista10 at Dellartista for nominating me for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. I’ve followed Artista10 as she copes with anxiety and loss, but also find a smile or two in her upbeat and inspiring posts. I love reading about her neighbourhood nemesis, Lucifer, the Tiny Little Terror, and about her parakeets’ growing family.
Here are the Rules to Follow:
1.Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
2. Make a post of the award (with a Photo of the Logo)
3. Post the Rules.
4. Ask 5- 10 questions of your choice.
5. Nominate 10-30 other bloggers (or more) and notify them.*
Here are my answers to Artista10’s questions:
1. What inspires you to write?
Anything that brings a smile to my day. There’s always, always, something to be thankful for.
2. What is your favorite thing to do?
Crafting, creating, visiting with friends and family, exploring new places.
3. How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
My faith is my mainstay. I can take my worries to God, and know that He’s there for me. I do tend to overthink things, and have had bouts of depression, so I have to remind myself that by worrying, nothing is solved.
4. How long have you been writing?
I’ve been writing since elementary school. I’ve written short stories, poems and even attempted longer fiction. Until I started my blog, the majority of my writing never made it past my notebooks.
5. What is your favorite thing about your family?
My children have faced problems and obstacles, but have never given up. They are stronger than they realize. Because we don’t all live in close proximity, times when the whole family is able to gather don’t come often, but when they do, it brings me so much joy.
6. Do you like animals? If so what kind?
I do like animals, especially dogs and cats. I also like watching wildlife, and listening to birdsong.
7. How do you feel about your life at this time?
I’m pretty content at this time. I have a husband, kids, and grandchildren I love, some good friends, a job that I enjoy, and good health. There have been sorrows, struggles, and disappointments in my life, but I feel very blessed at this time.
8. What do you like to do for Hobbies?
I love crafts of all kinds, walking, playing games and doing jigsaw puzzles with family and friends, and of course, looking for blog fodder.
*My days have been enriched by the many writers and photographers I follow, and all deserve recognition. I encourage anyone, interested in answering these same questions, to consider themselves nominated!
