Winter in Saskatchewan brings sights that residents in warm climates never see. The frost is manipulated by the wind, the amount of moisture in the air, and the temperature. This is an example of the wind playing a part in the formation of the frost, and the result is quite pretty!
So pretty! I grew up in Eastern Montana and saw trees like that!

We’ve been getting quite a bit of wind this year, so more of this one-sided frost is expected.

I love the change in scenery that fresh snow brings. Week-old snow that is gray and dirty, well that’s something else.

Yes, after the snow is no longer fresh and white, it doesn’t make for a very good photo opportunity.
